Hey all wanted to know i wanted to put the 2000/01 SE max's chrome muffler tips on my current muffler which is the 89 SE muffler set up. Wanted to know where is the best place to get? Midas, Dealer, etc...? Let me know? The reason being is that I recently replaced my muffler at midas and they didn't have the chrome tips for the dual exhaust.

 

The chrome tip from the 2k/2k1 Maxima mufflers are Nissan pieces - I bought mine at the dealer for about $40. Thing is, I dont think they will fit on your muffler because the tips are different diameters and probly different spacing too (I have a 2k muffler on my car).

 

The 2k muffler has a bracket (connecting both outlet pipes) that the chrome tip bolts to. If the 2K chrome tip can slip over your muffler I don't see why a muffler shop can't tack weld the tip onto your muffler. Trial and error kinda thing
