Heater blower on all the time

Heater blower on all the time
The blower on my 90 GXE blows on high all the time. I had to pull the glovebox out and disconnect the blower motor to get by, but I really would like to get the bottom of the problem.
I did a search on 'heater blower,' and I found a couple threads that gave me some clues. Specifically, there was a thread from almost two years ago that said the heater blower amp needs to be replaced. Anyone have further insight into this problem? If it is the heater blower amp, is this something I could do myself?
I'm no mechanic, but I'm tired of paying people lots of money to barely fix my problems.
Thanks in advance for any help.

your resistor (amp) i think is burned.
Its under the dash on the passenger side .
its fitted between your blower and the airco cooling unit.
take of the electric connector and losen the two screws.
take it out and renew it
its not a expensive thing specially when you can find one on
a junk yard.
