Okay - I am usually one who DIagnosis my own car - but Im at a lost for experience. Sometimes, it does not have this problem.. but sometimes does? Like something is cutting off the fuel - when stopped/idle - car will die, I can start it again and gas it and it will stay fine - but once i let go of throttle - gone... also when im driving and it is like theres no power - the engine decides more less... and it smokes like hell too - but then when fine... none of these symptoms are present. Please help? Its time for an oil change here soon - all fluuids are fine.... please - help if you have ideas.

 

Try fuel filter, run some injector cleaner too. Check for clogged air filter. Check timing. What grade gas do you run? Are you VG or VE? You are smoking because it is running way rich, that's probably why it stalls and has low power too. So a few of the EFI sensors might be questionable. Intermittent sort of points to mass air meter. But start with the tuneup basics, then work from there. You might want to run an ECU self diagnostic.

 

Do a search for stalling, I think Jwatts started the thread, there were many possible solutions to what you are talking about. The whole thread was very informative. Check it out.

that was a symptom when my fuel injectors were leaking badly(after my first unsuccessful instal )...but it could really be anything....definently look in the direction of a fuel sys. problem like Male is saying.
