Foglights on 1990 SE

I have a 1990 SE and the lenses on the foglamps are either cracked or missing. I want the replace them completely. What do I need to know to do this. Also any one else feel the dash and headlamps are a tad dimmer than other cars?

Well to get a set of fogs you can try ebay and they might be there or a local junk yard. If you don't have time for a search around area go to www.courtesyparts.com or call any dealer that offers a discount to maxima.org members and they can get new units for you, do a search there are a lot of dealers who do this, it'll be expensive but the fogs will be new.

To remove your broken fog light unit just get under the car with a 10mm and a long extension and there are four 10mm bolts. The front two you do not touch, these are the closest to the front bumper. The two in the back are the bolts you need to take off and once you do that the fog unit just drops and then you disconnect the connection that goes into the fog and pull the whole unit out. To install the fogs, first connect the connector and then bolt it up.

If i was you i would get a nice set of aftermarket fog lights. Such as Piaa, Hella, or 3A racing. Just Splice the positive and negative from the stock fog-lights with the new ones. This way you wont have to mount relay's or difficult to position switch's. I put 3A fog lights on mine and think they look good and there brighter then stock.

Not a bad alternative but some people just like the stock look like myself.

I know this is kind of an old post but I did a search and it pulled up. I just need some opinions from you guys. I bought a white 94 SE 2 weeks ago and one of the foglights is busted. My question is should I replace it with a factory forlight or up grade the forlights? If upgrade, which brand would be the best and look the best? Also circle or rectangle fogs??? Need input, can't decide.

well if you get aftermarket fogs you will have better lighting than the stock fogs provide. Don't buy anything from your local parts store, the brands they carry suck!. I would get either PIAA, CATZ or HELLA fog lights. Also when buying fogs you can either buy driving fogs or regular fogs. Driving fogs are fogs that provide lights infront of you and regular fogs provide light in a more spread direction, they still help the front ligthing but they also get the sides. Or you can do what is said at the top of this thread to keep the stock fogs.
