Hi guys, I need the ECCS relay for my 93 Max GXE. I've got a page from the service manual where it says E.C.C.S. RELAY but the local dealeship told me they do not know what I am talking about.
The one I am looking at is what connects the computer pin 59 to the battery power. What do I need to tell the dealership?

TIA,
Tarzan

"usually" there's a part number imprinted on it..or some kind of number. let the dealer know WHERE it goes..what color is the relay and any numbers on it.

or call courtesy..they can email u or fax a parts breakdown diagram and u can pick which u want.

Tell the shop/dealership it is the green fusebox relay. They will know for that is a known issue with all Nissan's.. This is interchangeable with the fuel pump relay, or, you can tell them you want a green fuel pump relay. It will work for I have interchanged my fuel pump with my eccs (testing out a hard start) with no issues noted

Oh, that's great. I think that the green relay does not do much in normal circumstance and I can turn them around safely.

Where exactly is the ECCS relay located? I know the green one is on the back (geen and orange relays on the bracked in the trunk).

ECCS relay location
It is bolted under the hood, on the inside fender wall, from the driver's side headlight. Pop up the black horizontal cover, it should be the first relay. This info should appy to both the VG/VE for I have both cars..but..don't hold me to it..

The pump safety relay from the trunk worked fine for me. Now I need to drive around for a few weeks and if the car does not stall then the problem is fixed. If it does then it's not the relay problem. Looks like I do not need to buy it anyway.
