I have a '91 maxima and an '86 300zx na. I was told that the alternator from the maxima(which is sitting in my garage with no transmission)is a bolt on for the 300zx. Where is the alternator located in the maxima and is it hard to get out because the 300zx got a quote for 300 bucks from the shop to get the part. any help would be appreciated.

 

it's pretty easy to get off. if you get under the car in the front on the passenger side the alternator is bolted to the engine there. couple of bolts gets it off, nothing too hard.
