How much does the 5-speed tranny weigh?

I am looking to have a 5-speed tranny shipped to me from New York to Michigan for my 89 max...but i wanna know how much does the thing weigh so i can get an exact qoute from UPS?
What other options do i have besides using UPS or Fedex?

Try the freight shipping companies like Conway, they are much cheaper for that sort of thing than UPS. The tranny weighs about 115lbs or so. I got mine shipped from Canada to WA for $50, and I shipped an auto tranny to the east coast for $118.

115 sounds a little too heavy. i can carry mine around by myself no problem. heck, when i was putting it back into my car i sat it on my chest and lifted it in. there's no way it weighs more than 90-100 pounds.

www.motorvate.ca says the 4th gen one weighs 107

3rd gen one is about that, somewhere close to 100 lbs like everyone said
