After market front bumper

Are there any aftermarket front bumpers for the 3rd gen maxima that are not lips but are actual full bumper replacements?

Got in a wreck which was not bad but I need a new front bumper and the stock one is expensive..

ummmm.....an aftermarket bumper replacement will cost way more than an OEM replacement cover. you can get an OEM bumper cover for $60... Kaminari and Erebuni make aftermarket style front bumpers but they cost well over $300 alone.

not sure where you priced your OEM bumper cover at, but I got my OEM replacement for $55 shipped!

Ngthing made a pretty good aftermarket bumper fit his car. I don't who it is made by but you want to e-mail him. You can check the bumper out at his homepage in page 4. His homepage is www.cardomain.com/id/ngthing Hope this helps. Erebuni and Kaminari is just plain ugly.

How do you get the front and rear bumper covers off of the car? I have got to get them both replaced before I get my car repainted.

don't know about the rear, but the front I've done before. there are about 4 bolts located in the L/R wheel wells holding the bumper to the fender, then there are 5-7 bolts on the top of the bumper under the front grille and 3-4 bolts under the bumper...hopefully your bolts aren't rusty, I had to take a hacksaw to a couple of mine!

looks pretty good anyway, different from the Stillen lip. If this guy wants to get something different that is one good way to go.

I was saying I needed a new front bumper not just a front bumper cover, the dealership said it would be 300$ for the OEM bumper.

Im thinking i will just get a cover like you said they are only 50$ but I will need a new grille..

the numper itself is the metal bar that's UNDER the cover. try certa-fit brand, or a salvage yard. www.car-part.com

but I do NOT recommend buying an aftermarket bumper cover. they do NOT fit correctly. the only one that fits so that the headlights and corner lights fit flush are the OE bumper covers. and yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I dunno about other companies...but the one I got from Autobodyparts fit fine, as long as the frame isn't bent and you keep the OEM weatherstripping that goes between the lights and the bumper everything fits perfectly!

nope, new bumpers do not come painted unless the place selling the bumper to you provides painting for an additional charge.

Thanks, Mine are in good shape except the paint has worn off and revealed the yellow plastic which I have since painted over with a metalic charcoal that looks pretty good considering I did it with a spray can. I only did the top parts and masked it off well. Anyone ever had theirs repainted. Oh, Im having the same problem with the side mouldings. Any advice?

Thanks,

I got one from Keystone here locally. It's aftermarket and fit perfectly, headlights, corners, fenders all lined right up. The brand it Autolign. SO it just depends on the particular aftermarket cover you get. Luck of the draw I guess.

That was a Wings West lip modified to fit the factory bumper. Also, I called Erebuni and they said that thier front end was also a lip...

So I guess there are only lip add-ons for our cars, not the entire bumper.

autobodypartsonline, sells replacement parts, not oem. only the dealer sells oem parts. my front bumper is aftermarket. i paid 80 from jersey for it, but you can find one local. i would suggest looking for one that is CAPA certified, im not sure if mine was or wasnt, but fit was great.
