wassup folks... i was wondering what yalls window tints are. i just got mine 5% all the way around and i've been gettin so much shiit from people saying i'll get in a lot of trouble. true? what do you have on your car?

In Australia the legal limit for tints is 35%. I've got 35% and here is a screenie

depends where you live and how the cops react...check your local tint laws...most states allow nothing lower than usually 35%(from what I've seen), but there are execptions.

I've got 41%, but I'm going with 20% this spring.

Mine are 20% rear window, 35% rear doors

The front 2 windows are what you have to watch out for. Like someone else said if the cops around your way are real ballbusters you may have problems. I'm in Pa & have 5% all around also.But the cops around here for the most part are cool about tint, so I don't have any problems.

heh, i just had a run in w/ a cop. i pulled out too far to turn left, and the cop was turning right onto the street i was turing off of. he looked at as i backed up and just nodded. but i guess it's what kinda mood they're in

Got darkest cops won't give me a ticket for in VA. 35% Front/20% Rear. Most cops anywhere really only care about the front and if they can't see in it then thats when they start pulling you over.

Cops in my area were doing a road check one night and the county cops just made me roll my front window up and they could see through so they let me go and then i went back throught the same check that night and the State cop made me roll front and rear window half way so he could check it! and my front read about 42% and rear was about 19%. He told me to have it removed but screw that they dont pull you over for tint. Usually they will ticket you if they can get you for something else too (like speeding, moving violation, etc.). State police are alot stricter then the county and city cops down here!

Dude I live in Georgia and I think you do too. I have 20% on all my windows and never get busted by COBB county police or any police for that matter. Execpt for a recent speeding check but everybody gets one of those everyonce in awhile. I have pics of the tint in my sig but come to the Jan. 25 meet and you can see how dark it is. It is pretty dark at night. Sometimes during the day it is dark just depends on how the shadows of the sun are playing on the car.

i have 20 ontop of 35, not sure exactly what that comes out to but you cant see inside, ive had cops, sherrifs and state troopers drive right on past me, they know they have a lot better stuff to do than fill out paper work for an illegal tint, my friend who has 35 and 5 on top got pulled over the other day for speeding and the cop didnt say one word about his tint.

in a lot of states, you can't get pulled over for just tint. the cop would have to pull you over for something else, and then tack on the tint.

btw, i've got 35% sides and 20% back.. texas laws are 35% sides and any% back

i live in va too and i have 20% on the rear door windows, im considering on doing the front but i think 20, i just want to make it legal

I live in south Georgia. I have 5% all around and the cops down here don't give a crap. Even if they did, my cousin is the post commander for the GSP down here. Another is the local Sheriff. Anyway, down here, it's no problem. But when I was living in Macon and going to Mercer, I got pulled for that crap 3 different times. All three times were while I was driving south on I75 coming home. I was not speeding any of the times, but as I came through Houston County south of Warner Robins, I got pulled for that. The cop was a real jerkoff. He said that it looked like I had mirror tint. I wanted to ask him what he had been drinking.

hey...i live in CT and my buddy dysfunctional ... just got his windows tinted... and my friend made the appointment with dysfun. and he said the wrong thing and so dysfunctional has 5% all the way around and a 5% strip on the windshield ... so we talked to the tint guy and in CT you can have oyu back window as dark as you wont only if you have two side mirrors... and the side windows ... all of them can only be a maximum of 35% tint.. all the side windows.. not just the front two..all of them in CT anyway. but his tints are realy really dark becuase all cars come with factory tint and so with the 5% tint plus the factory tint.. its like 2% .. its been about a week and he hasnt gotten any crap for it yet. soo.. orignally he was going to get 25% all around and the 5% strip but nope he got 5% all around..hehe i thought it was funny... you can see anything .. in or out....
