Cone Air Filter Size...

yeeah - my K&N looks small compared to other filters i've seen. Like the stillen "pop charger" or whatever, it looks like 3" bigger than mine. does it make an increase on air flow or just sound better? holla!

Well the larger the filter the more surface area there is. In theory it would provide better flow

While we are on the topic, how do you remove the bottom part of the stock air filter assembly. I just kept mine, and removed the top portion and placed the cone in there.

stop using 'da' instead of 'the' it's really annoying.

haha, no one says "da" anymore except vanilla ice. yeah anyway...there's really no point ot take the bottom of the air filter box off. it will catch oil from the filter and somewhat holds it in place.

Its a resonator, and it deadens the sound of the intake (like a muffler). Most of us remove it and then plug the hole, makes the intake louder and may help the air flow.
