VTC Rewiring

I have a 1992SE with VE engine. I'm having some troubles with the VTC. Does anyone have experience with the VTC grounding rewire proposed by Craig Brace.

I've heard nothing but good things about that guy. After I saw his webpage, I immediately sent him $100 and would recommend that others do the same.

Yeah, a lot of others including myself have done the VTC ground thing with good results. There are some that have noticed a loss of power, but I believe that will depend on the condition of the VTCs before you ground them - if they're already failing, it probably wont matter much if you ground them, but the sound will go away in most cases.

I know this is a pretty biased opinion, but I get lots of emails from people who have sucessfully completed it and also there are many posts on this forum too - search for "vtc ground" or "vtc rewire" if you want to find them.

Nice car too
