Gas Leak

I noticed this on my '89 and now it's happening on my '91. When it's cold out and I start the car there is a strong smell of gas in the engine area (with my '89 the fuel used to drip on the ground yet stop when the engine got warm). On my '91 it goes away after the engine warms up as well. Could never find the source .. Is there a choke solenoid/ injector that could be leaking and once the engine warm is switched out? Thanks.

It's your rubber fuel lines leaking where they meet the hard lines. In the morning, open the hood then start the car. Follow the fuel lines after the fuel filter and look for leaks. You should buy some fuel line and replace them anyway.

I had a similar problem with my 94 SE, gas was leaking out the tank on the ground. The Max has a factory recall on the filler hose/neck. My car still leaked after they replaced all that stuff. It's actually a line running to the top of the tank and the hose is rubber. I haven't fixed it yet, it's on my to do list.
