How the hell do you get it off!!!

I read you could use the adapter in a VG stock airbox to connect a cone filter to the airflow senser. Well I have a K&N filter ready and i took off the airbox and struggled for about an hour with the damn thing, but the adapter won't come out. I don't want to do any perminant damage so if i mess up i could go back to stock. I have two options. Just get a normal Accord CAI. Or risk it all and hack into the hard plastic to get it out.
Maybe someone out there has an adapter and could sell it to me or point me to an online store.
Oh Yeah. Yes..I'm cheap. After spending 1700 for a rebuilt trans., youd have to be cheap.
I trust your advices because we are all part of the big 3rd gen maxima family
aren't we?

That's what i would do too if i were you. Get the adapter. I tried to modify the brass piece from my airbox too and the only way to do it is to bend it up pretty badly. Just go with the adapter off ebay.

Holy wheel gap Batman

I just drilled out the rivets that hold in the brass piece. You can't go back to stock once you make the adapter, so that's the downside.

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments on the rims fellas. Maxedout92se, yeah I'm sure you'll see me around. I live in the Courtyard at CSU and drive a lot. Don't think you'll see any other 3rd gens around town lookin like mine. That's what I was going for. Unique is the best way to go. I try not to copy people and I haven't seen anyone else with the setup I have so far so we'll see. Later guys

Kevin

Not when you got brand new-looking 18's with tires mounted for $1000

Couldn't have found 17's that i liked as much for any cheaper.

True, true. I got my 16's for $300 w/ tires. Start saving for springs!
