Im pretty sure this is the old resistor trick just with a new face on it.
basically since cars are generally all computer controled now, the guy has found the correct inputs for the ecu for the air/fuel sensors, then he just puts a resistor on one of them to trick the computer into thinking its running a richer AF mixture. cars are generally sposed to run on a 14:1 or 15:1 AF ratio (im certian its 15:1 but I cant remember). if it actually worked then we would all have done it by now. also your just wasting gas, clogging your cat, and making some guy alot richer by actually doing this.
and seeing as theres only 2? boosted 3rd gens, dont try to use that excuse to argue it.
unfortunately someone will buy it and compain, but he has followed everything in his auction, so he technically has nothing to be marked against. its just like the auctions for "parts" but if you read the fine print, you will find some poor b@stard is paying $100=$300 for some box instead of say a video card, for example. (happened alot when the NVidia Geforce 4's first came out. for those computer "smartless" its the latest, greatest video card).
