keys

I just found out yesterday that if I don't turn the key all the way back into the lock position, I can pull my key out of the ignition. Even if the car is running and moving, I can take my key out. Also If it is not turned all the way back into the lock position, I can start my car with anything that will turn the ignition, like any key or even a flathead screwdriver. I don't think that this is normal. Can someone please respond.

Are your keys the original keys or did you have keys made for your car?

well

Your problem is inside your ing. lock if you can take it out and take it to any locksmith he can fix the problem for cheap ,if not he can do all the work but he may charge as much as $75 bucks to remove the ing .The key retainer is not working or sticking ,you may try a non-slicon lube 1st (NO WD-40 ) its no good for locks ,as it is wax based and over time it will gum a lock up (thats most likly whats making the key retainer stick in the 1st place) just my .02

p.s. im a locksmith so a i may know a thing or 2 about this subject.
