Injector Problem Please Help

Hello Everyone I am new to the forum and I hope you could help me. I changed my valve cover seals since they were leaking and I removed the distributor. I turned the distributor on accident so I found TDC for cylinder 1. I got everything running 20 degrees BTDC It was running perfect and then the idle got real rough and there was a loss of power. OK bad injector but I was limping home when it got better again. That was weird maybe it was clogged. Two block from my house the car was running good and all of a sudden when steping on the gas there was a large pop like when something under pressure pops open. Has to be the bad injector. I try to start it and the starter does not want to turn the engine over and then there is a loud clank. I am guessing that the timing belt broke and those are the valves hitting the piston. Could the belt jump a tooth. It did not break.
Thanks for any help

could be all kinds of things, but if the engine won't turn over now, you REALLY broke something.

could have also advanced the timing way higher than 20 deg and cooked a piston.. which then broke the rod and blew a hole in the side of the block.

could be a broken timing belt...
could be a slipped belt...

could be.....
could be.....
could be.....

call a mechanic if you can't figure it out. at this point, that engine is probably toast anyway.

Bad o-ring(s) on the injectors. Happened 3 times to me, good luck.
