Help 92 Nissan Maxima eating altenators
I have a 92 Nissan Maxima, and I have replaced the altenator 3 times in the last year. I have replaced the battery and know that it is good.
Does anyone have any idea why or what might be making the altenator go bad?
I am wondering if it has a major electrical problem because every time I touch the car door to open or close it, it shocks me.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Okay first of all are u buying autozone alternators?
If so then that is ur probable cause, and wasted time on free replacement alternators. My brother had a civic and replaced three alternators on it form autozone junk and the dealer guaranteed him that if he spent the money on a dealer alt. it will solve all his problems.
good luck
