Hey guys,
I drive a 1989 sky blue 5 speed maxima. I would really like to get it re-painted a different color and get the wings west body kit, spoiler, and some kosie wheels. Has anybody had their 3rd gen maxima re-painted before? How much does it cost? I want them to take all the old paint off and paint it black. Would it be worth it? I think the sky blue is ugly.

Well you're going for the most expensive, time consuming paint project. Switching colors is something I would never do. You're looking at a few thousand dollars for it to be done properly. They'll have to paint under the hood, door jambs, bottom of the trunk lid etc so you don't have a black car w/ blue accents.

 

sell your car...get a black one.

 

Ya I guess it would be pretty expensive. Would a body kit look good on a sky blue car you think?

 

Depends on what you like. James12345 use to have a clean skyblue Max, I don't know if he got rid of it an bought another or painted it, but I know he has a black one now. You might ask him.
