My power door locks quit on me...all I hear are the clicking of the relays. Could the problem be related to the timer? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem you did. I replaced the Door Lock Timer and things were perfect for about a month. Now the doors unlock when the ignition is turned off, but don't lock when turned on. If I push down the lock on the driver's door, all locks close and pop back up in a second so I don't know what the heck is wrong. I posted this problem a couple weeks back and nobody replied. Good luck..

fornimage, it does sound like the door lock timer.. If you're good with a solering iron, just remove the timer from your car and resolder all the connections, then replace. mine has worked perfectly for almost a year since I did it. (it wasn't working at all before).

Mike, I dunno what your problem is.. do you have an aftermarket alarm? the doors aren't supposed to lock when you start the car unless you have an aftermarket alarm.

On my 91 gxe when you push the lock button all doors lock except the front passenger, but with all the doors locked and you push the unlock button all doors unlock. Can someone tell me why it will not unlock that door?

most likely there's something wrong with that particular lock.. I wouldn't put money on that baing the door lock timer because it's only on one door. take a multimeter to the leads on the door lock solenoid inside the door and see if it gets correct voltage when you press the lock/unlock buttons. if not, then it's your timer. if it is getting the right voltage, it's the solenoid. either buy a new one $$$ or go to a junkyard and pick one up for a few bucks.
