hey guyz, i searched for this problem but all i found is about performance exaust. Ok i got 91 maxima SE with stock exaust system and it was working fine till yesterday. All of a sudden today when i drove the car i could hear loud hum when i accelerate or rev the engine. The noise is very loud inside the car too and hums loudly in my ears and is almost unbearable. Does anyone know what the problem is?

 

I think that you may have a rack in ure exhaust system. Have u been to a mechanic to check the system out? U may need to have a new exhaust system. My dvice, see the mech. now!

yea take it to a place to get it checked...might be a large leak in the exhaust system

 

wassup?i had a similar problem whee my car within a few months got really loud and it was extremely aggrivating, so i took it to meineke and the guy showed me that i had about a half dollar or slightly larger hole in my flex pipe. after 157k it finally gave out. so after giving me the estimate (498.00 ) i took a trip down the road and had it done at midas for 283, still kinda expensive but teh car literally sounds beautiful now so it was worth it. look under your car and see if you have a leak anywhere (exhaust fumes coming from the pipes)
