what year is ur max??? the reason i ask is because the '89 - '91 their master code is in the trunk so i heard. and for the '92 - '94 its under the passanger side glove compartment. u would need a flashlight, paper and a pen if ur max is between '92 - '94. u have to get on ur back up under the passanger side glove compartment and ur gonna look to ur left once ur under the glove box. when u look to ur left u'll see a silver box that has a paper stuck onto it with a whole bunch of numbers and letters. i think its the 2nd or 3rd line of numbers. if i remember correctly its a 7 digit number with no letters in between. once u see those numbers write it down on the paper and then go outside of ur car and just lock all ur doors with all the windows up and if u have sunroof u should close that too. now ur gonna go to ur keypad and and push clear which is the first button and then enter the 7 digit code u wrote down. after u enter that code u will hear an annoyin' beep. while thats goin' on enter a short code that u can remember and then the beep will stop. now after thats done. enter the code u can remember and the doors should unlock and if u wanna open ur windows and trunk just hit the buttons that says WND for windows and TRK for trunk and they will open. now keep both codes somewhere safe so that u can change the code again later on. hope this infor helps but next time try to use the search button cuz this has been discussed hundreds of times.

good luck,
rick

A friendly reminder

One thing about the keyless entry is they suck when it gets cold so be careful. I usually lock my keys in my car when I don't want to worry where they are. This plan backfired when I was up in Tahoe and the dang keypad froze. I tried dethawing the thing with hot water but it didn't work. Anyway, just a heads up.

yes

and all US 3rd gen GXE maximas have the stock keyless entry control box (with the code sticker on it) under the dash between the glove box and the passenger side of the car
