Intake gaskets

Intake gaskets
I've seen people use RTV silicone in place of intake manifold gaskets on other engines, such as v-8 chevy, etc.. and I was wondering if anyone has used RTV silicone in place of manufactured gaskets for the Nissan engines?

No do not do this. Stick with gaskets. I come from a Chevy v8 back ground and there is no way I would have ever done what your talking about except I always add a little (I mean thin coat) around the water passage just for a little added help there but never without real gaskets.
this just makes a mess in your intake. You put a bead around the ports and it would have to be a large bead since your not putting a gasket in. When you bolt the manifold down it will squeeze into the intake and create a mess.
DO NOT DO THIS.
