steering wheel alignment

on my '93, my alignment is set perfectly, but the steering wheel is turned to the right about 10 degrees.

if this vehicle didn't have an airbag, i'd simply remove the wheel and move it left a few splines. does anyone either know how to turn something in the suspension or how to safely remove the airbag wheel?

it drives me nutty! thanks all.

Unfortunately the proper and only way I would recommend is another alignment with the steering wheel positioned/held in the exact center position.

Re: steering wheel alignment

I had that problem on my old maxima and I got an alignment and it was all better. How do you know your alignment is perfect?

well it's aligned simply because it goes straight when i drive with no hands. i think the only way is to turn the wheel straight and then align it. tomorrow i'm going under the car to measure the distance from the end of the steering rack to the tie rod end. i suspect one side is slightly longer.
