stupid ? bout speakers

stupid ? bout speakers

hey, this is a really stupid question, but what size are the front speakers in the '93 maxima's? i need to get new ones before i get my new head unit installed. if you could help...thanks. oh, and how hard is it to replace em/take everything apart? thanks again.

I think theyre 3.5"s.... that's what I have on my '89. Can't imagine the 93s being diff, but I could be wrong. Since youre looking to replace, why not just upgrade???

yeah, I would go ahead and updgrade the speakers as well. The stock size of your speakers depends on whether you have BOSE or not.

I believe 4"x6", but I'll have to search to make sure
I have BOSE too

yes 4x6's in the front without the bose adapters, and 6x9's in the rear w/o the bose adapters as well. dont know about you all but, my maxima had stock bose amp that i wired in with replacement pioneers in the rear, i get some nice bump from plain old speakers

Holy Jeebus ****!!!! If you look at the top of t he freaking forums, there is a thread with the 3rd Gen Nissan Maxima FAQs - and guess what, THE SPEAKER SIZES ARE IN THERE!!!!

the non bose maxima rear speakers are 6.75" rounds not 6X9's

That's not right.... the non-BOSE Maxs get 4x6"s??? That's a rip...

i meant i had previous bose, took em aout and 4x9's fit perfectly
