ok guys, I have the unfamous stalling and hesitating problem I'm trying to hunt down, but now I notice another problem. my car will only rev up to about 4000rpms then even if the pedal is to the floor the rpms will start to drop and it will eventually die, then when I start it back up after it dies the whole car will shake (even if it is just sitting in the garage not moving and will continue like that for about five or ten minutes. any idea's? or could this have anything to do with the hesitation ploblem?

 

oh I forgot to mention when it stalls out a strong smell gomes from the ingine like gas
