I know I might get flamed for this espicially since i'm not a newbie but in my own eyes I see I am . I have no antenna when I bought my car and I looked at were the power antenna is by the car jack and I see that it is there but I have no metal rod antenna thingy that goes up and down. Now should I go to a junk yard and find one or see if the dealership would have one or what? Thanks for the help!

 

dude just goto your nissan gurage and ask for a new 1 its only like 45 bucks

 

They got them on E-Bay too. I bought one for like $35 or $40.

 

Yeah I just bought one off of ebay for 40.00 brand new. Save the junkyard is for expensive parts not an antenna.

 

how often do these antennas go bad? I didnt bother replacing mine...i got the tape strip antenna from radioshack and it works fine and is invisible.

 

i went through one already. the last one just went halfway down and then it didn't want to move anymore. didn't bother to open it up or anything. just got me a new one and no problems since

 

Now we're talking about the metal rod that goes up and down not just the whole power unit right?

 

$40 gets you the whole assembly on e-bay.
