What do you guys think?

Ok heres the deal. I have 176,500 miles on my max. 90 se 5speed. I have decided to keep the car for a while now as i will be getting a new sportbike instead of new max. What i need to know is what does everyone think needs to be done to keep this thing going for a while? I already did the battery, alternator, water pump about 20,000 ago and the outter cv boots. I dont need a timming belt yet but if im going to be keeping it i might as well. Im thinking. . new clutch(slipps way bad), rear exhaust studs, i have some sort of minute oil leak in the rear, and various boots. inner cv, steering, and the one on the end of the shifter rods going into tranny. what do you think?

I suggest just to have a tune up every 10k miles or so...always keep the oil fresh, and put 93 octane in it every once in a while.

take the car to a mechanic have him check everything over and make a list starting with things that need to be replaced to things that should be replaced

DUUDE! - dont ever get sh*t done at dealerships. I learned that the hard way. I paid like $125 to flush my tranny fluid and clean it out. ALWAYS try the "hole in the walls". If you buy all the parts for the new clutch...a good place should only charge you $250-300. Timing belt SHOULD be a little less, like around $240, I dont know about CV boots. Are you talkin about you'll need a new intake manifold or exhaust manifold? Take that to Meinike or some local place.

DEALERSHIP =

was the clutch $600 for the oem clutch and labor? I dont think that is too bad.
you probably dont need the exhaust manifold, the studs probably just need to be replaced. Just remember dont be cheap because your gonna get what you pay for.
