Street racing turns deadly again.........Everyone needs to check this.............

Yesterday, an 18 rear old guy that I have known ever since kindergarden was racing in a 3000gt down a local street by were I live against some 88 5.0 Mustang and was involved in a huge accident that turned fatal. My friends 1995 Mitsubishi 3000 GT cut in front of some girl's 1988 Ford Mustang and collided and then went out of control. The Mitsubishi traveled over the median and into the path of a 1965 Dodge sedan, driven westbound by an 87-year-old Kirkland man. The guy driving the 3000 GT was my bestfriend all the way up untill around junior high were we kind of grew apart but he was very close to my family for a short amount of time. The guy driving the Mitsubishi, his 16-year-old female passenger from Kirkland and the elderly man were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The passenger died late last night at the hospital which was his girlfriend at the time. A charge of vehicular homicide could result because the passenger in the 3000 GT died. My friend will be arrested when he gets out of the hospital and most likely be charged with vehicular homicide.

I know how it feels to race someone like that, but it's not worth all the consequences that can arise. I'll leave you all with the picture of my friend's 3000 GT to show you what really happens when things get out of control.

Think before you race or preferably, don't race at all!

Sorry to hear what happened but this is sometimes the result of it. Everyone please think twice before racing, do it in a controlled environment such as a track.

Yeah it really was. I just found out from my dad that my friend had actually raced the same people before so it wasn't someone he didn't know. Also there might have been drinking involved as well. My dad went and saw my friend today who was the driver of the 3000 GT and he is still unconscious and has so many tubes hooked up to him, it was amazing. He hasn't woken up yet and we don't think he know's that the girl has died. He is still in serious condition and no one know's if he's gonna make it. No good at all.
