dome and key light turns back on

ok i tried to search through the door lock timer posts to see if it has anything to do with it but i saw nothing about lighting. my car is diferent because i dont have locks or handles, so i dont see how that could affect anything, plus i had taken out the stock alarm unit( it had cut off the starter one day and since i had no way to unlock it i just took it out)anyway........... whats happening is that ill close the doors and the lights dim then go off, but they have been comming back on when they feel like it and killing my battery. i dont drive the car everyday so i didnt notice it until i couldnt get in. any ideas what it could be? i know the pin switch is good because i recently replaced it. any ideas would help. thanks

sounds like the door pin switch is going bad, maybe it's not necessarily the drivers side one that you replaced

for now, you can turn the dome light to "OFF" and that'll keep it from draining your battery

thats what i had done, but the ignition keyring stays on so that ended up draining the battery. i guess ill try swapping pin switches, maybee i just bought a bad one
