Headlight Problems

Ok guys, I just installed another new headlight connector and now one of my Silverstars is bright white and the other light is a dull yellow? Do you think that I installed the connector wrong or do I just need a new wiring harness? Thanks

sounds like you've got a bad hwrness or somewhere else along the line.

get a multimeter and check the voltage at each headlight while they're on. that'll tell you more than anything.

Doesn't that harness have a relay on it? Might wanna check that too. Ya never know.

Dont Buy APC!!

i got an upgraded harness from "Matrix" -- very easy to install. I've got 2 relays (one for each bulb) - i've never heard of a bulb turning yellow....unless you touched it w/ your fingers

Check your wiring, Im sure you just mixed up one of the wires. I did the same thing when I was wiring a new headlight socket in. On one side the low beam was dimmer and yellow then the other, but when I put the highbeams were on they were both good. So I checked them both with a multimeter and realized that I had mixed up the ground and the lowbeam wires on that one side. Changed the wiring and it was fine.

chances are your Matrix harness is manufactured by whoever makes the apc harness, alot of these import products are this way. They are all made by one company and then re-packaged for each distributor.

But, I made sure and did one wire at a time when I put the new connector in? I think I pulled the wiring a little too hard when I was trying to splice the wire? I think that could be the problem, maybe? But, like I said, I took it one wire at a time? So, I'm pretty sure that I did it correctly?
