Manual Tranny Question

Manual Tranny Question
I posted a question a couple of weeks ago regarding a transmission leak, but I think I may have a bigger problem. I noticed that I can pull up on my stick about an inch or so with no problem in my manual transmission. I don't know what is causing this, or what the problem may be as a result of this, but if anyone has any advice/suggestions regarding this, please let me know ASAP!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

The rubber part of the bracket hardens up and breaks over the years since its right above the heat shield . about 1.5 hours of labor to fix at shop...sooner if u got jacks at home to raise the car

Thanks, DrStill...
But here's the issue...
I had the tranny rebuilt only about a year and a half ago! Had a new clutch and everything redone on it, and I also had the axle boots replaced. All total, it came out to be about a $1200 job that had me on the bus for a couple of months.
I'm going to have to take it back to the tranny shop, but at least I know what that issue is. Thanks much for the info, bro!
