Hey i was just replaced my transmission and i need a new front axle and i was wondering if the 94' SE comes stock with ABS. thanks

 

it was an option for all 3rd gens

check the "idiot lights" on your dash and if you have one for ABS, then your car probably has ABS

for VEs (your engine 92-94SE), the coolant reservoir will be in front of the battery if you have ABS; otherwise it will be on the pass side near the washer fluid
I think that's same for VGs, but not sure

in my 89 brochure: it was an option for the SE (part of the "4DSC" package

in my 92 brochure: it was an option for GXEs (VG)

in my 94 brochure: it was an option for GXEs (VG)

 

yep, my VG has ABS , got tranny rebuilt now the stupid ABS light won't go off...gotta figure whats up with that, any ideas?

 

check out the ABS computer in the trunk and see what code it flashes

look at www.bignissans.org.uk in the J30 section under articles "dont go braking my heart" or something like that

I had a bunch of problems with wheel sensors, but I've replaced a couple and everything seems to be working now (they were about $15 each from the junkyard)

 

i thought i remember reading somewhere that abs wasnt available till 92, eh.. i think i got it confused with air bags; air bags came out in 92

 

You're right about the ABS on VG, my Maxima's engine.

 

False. I have a VG withe ABS

 

air bag = option in 92, standard in 93/94

 

my '93 gxe (vg) comes with 4-disc abs. if u abs light is still on then one or more of ur sensors r bad. other than that craig can correct me if im wrong.
