I Dont Know What The He// Is Going On
Tonight when I got off of work I started driving home half the way there I turned on the heat in the car as soon as I did I got an even rougher idle and when I hit the gas my rpms went a little higher than usual before the car picked up speed but as soon as I turned the heat off everything went back to normal has anyone experienced this or does anyone know whats wrong. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks
By the way its a 92SE Auto.

Did you happen to have it in defrost mode for the windsheild. If so the ac compressor will kick on also even with the temp gauge handle all the way to hot. Does it happen all the time or just that one time?

Anytime you activate the defrost, it engages the AC compressor to dry the air. Since the AC puts a load on the engine, the ecu tells the engine to speed up the idle(to prevent the car from stalling)
If your idle air control system is suspect, it might stumble when you engage the compressor
