I want to change my transmission fluid and oil. How many qts of oil will I need to buy and how many qts of trans fluid do I need. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

Well, it would be helpful if I knew what car you drove. But in your profile I see you have a VE30DE motor and I'm assuming you're an automatic. If you are an automatic, then with a simple drain and fill, you will need about 6 quarts of new fluid. You will be surprised how much you can get out of the RE4F04V tranny with only draining it.

So, you need about 6 quarts of Dexron III.

And I think you asked how many quarts of motor oil you will need for an oil and filter change ... the answer is EXACTLY 4 quarts for the VE. I recommend regular Castrol GTX 5w30. And the bright blue Purolator PureOne. Fram is overpriced, but the same quality filtration. If you can find these filters, get them.... "ACDelco Ultraguard Gold" and "Mobil One" oil filter. Or just use the dealer filter made for the VE.
