Power Door Locks

Hello All..

I am a newbie here.

Just bought my daughter a '92 Maxima GXE for her first car.

Could anybody give me any info on what I might look at to repair the power locks on the car.

I press the button and hear a click however they locks do not move.

Thank you in advance for any info!

the door lock timer is a common problem for these cars (only 92-94 Maximas have door lock timers as far as I know)

it's a grey plastic box something like 3"x4" with a bunch of wires going into the bottom of it. If you remove the lower dash panel (look on my homepage in the how-to section under warning chime mod to see how to remove that), you will see it just to the right of the steering column

if you remove this and resolder the joints on that circuit board, that will usually solve the problem
