How much is my car worth at the dealer?

I love my 3rd but I'm looking into getting a 5th gen. I'd like to trade it in but don't know what a fair trade-in value is.

It's a '93 SE, 120k, strong engine, good overall condition.

I got brand new VTCs installed a couple of months ago by the local Nissan dealership ($2000.00 job paid for by Jiffy Lube.)

It's got a Place Racing CAI, and Warspeed Y-pipe and Carsound cat.
Courtesy Nissan 2k FSTB and Addco RSB. ASP UDP, Eibachs and Tokicos.

otherwise everything else is stock.

What do you all think?

Go to www.kbb.com and click on Trade-in value. Also, many people take the mods off their car and return it to stock if they plan to trade it in. Then they just sell the mods seperately. Good luck with getting the new car.

im sorry to say and may be the first to say that when you trade in your car right now......u will get squat for it. I say youre better off selling it yourself and then using that to purchase a 5th gen.

You should part-out your car, meaning sell it by parts. Then take it to the dealer bone stock. The dealer won't care if you have mods; they probably devalue the car because of it.

Make your money back on the mods you have. Just me .02 cents.

yup, they will say mods are a reson to lower the value of the car because people who have modified they car usually drive it harder so therefore more wear and tear.

on the flip side, when they sell a car they say it's more expensive because of the mods.

strip the mods and sell it bone stock. if you have a place called carmax near you, they are a used car dealer that will buy your car for cash even if you don't buy one from them. Mya give you an idea of what a dealer will complain about.

i agree with others. dealers will always try to screw you. if you are going to trade in, ill take these mods off of you Place Racing CAI, Warspeed Y-pipe Carsound cat, Courtesy Nissan 2k FSTB. otherwise you should just sell the car on your own. im sure there are plenty of people looking for a VE with fresh VTCs. good luck man and let me know if you want to seel those mods.

Exactly what he said ^^^^^
Personally I'll try to sell the car as a whole. You'll be lucky if you sell the car to someone who can appreciate and is knowlegable of the mods you have. If I were to sell my car I wouldn't remove one single bolt from the car. Why go thru the hassle of making deals, deals falling thru, waiting for money, shipping items just for a few hundred dollars, screw that. Trading a car at the dealer equals zer0 in value, but it is quick and easy. Just sign the title. No advertisement, no strangers/dead beat buyers coming over to test drive, etc. Good luck, choose well my son
