GOT A PARTS MAX!
check this out! my buddy's dad just got a 92 maxima SE in a package deal (he's a dealer) and while on a test drive the lady turned in front of a truck, BAM, got nailed. well the insurance company sold it to me for 200 bucks. the motor is still good, got like 129,000 on it, and the 5 spd is good. since my max only has 102,000 on it, i'm just gonna save the motor for later, and the half shafts, and all that type of stuff, the exhause. it's all goin in my shed. I'm stripping it out and gonna sell the empty shell to the junk yard. prolly get like 50 bucks for it! anyway, i'm thinkin i might rebuild this motor instead of modding the current engine. i have a few questions about doin a rebuild though. i will prolly have it bored 60 over, have the heads shaved to increase compression, and i'd like to put more aggressive cams in it. but since it's a VE it has 2 cams per head right? do they sell them anywhere. anyway, i'll probably have the intake and heads ported and polished, i'm gonna have the valves cut slightly larger and the seats ground to probably a 5 angle valve job. what i don't know anything about it the bottom end. i'm gonna need a crank (i MIGHT have mine cut), and rods, and the like. i just started stripping this max down so i'm faaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr from doing this. this is long term. just in case anyone wants parts, the rear of the car is TOAST, all the rear lights are broken or cracked. the front is ok, but i'm gonna keep the lights for my max, and i'm using the grill for a mesh grill, so i don't have to cut mine. the front bumper is kinda faded, it's red if anyone wants it. it's pretty much the only good part left on the car. at least the exterior. anyway, anyone else do an engine rebuild? any tips? thanks alot guys
not a big accident but
He needs a new fender or bumpero r something. It didnt look too bad his kit is fine just the Left headlight asembly he needs , also a bumper possibly ,and a fender left fender. But its still driveable though
Interested in little stuff
what color interior does it have? I would be very interested in the interior pieces that cover the A-pillars, the sunroof surround fuzz strip (technical term), the sunroof control panel (just the plastic) and the sun visors. Mine are dulled a bit and have a few tiny holes from a previous smoker. My panels are gray even though my interior is black. Hopefully this is common.
Does it have a BOSE stereo or not?
Stock foglights or no?
Thanks!!!

i would also be interested in the interior if it is black or that dark charcoal color. i forget where you said you live, but i know it is right near me. i am specifically looking for a new dash, and if possible black leather seat covers.
hey guys, (and gals) here's the deal on this max, i don't mean to be greedy, but my interior is starting to show some wear. it's black leather with dark lining. I was planning on saving all the seats for my max, cause my leather is getting kinda worn. the gague clusters and dash are already gone, that includes the center console, climate controls, and bose amps and head unit. I think he put it in a different max. it still has the bose speakers. I think the hood/trunk "latch" is ok, i'm not sure, when i get back from school i'll look. i have two good centercaps for the rims. one is broken, the other is just missing. the pillars look ok, they're not grew, but not black, like this dark color. also, the sunroof appears to be intact, so i think the visor will be ok. the sunshade visors i used cause mine were seperating. ummmm. it has misc little pieces i'll part with. Idealy i'd like to keep most of the interior. i wasn't planning on parting it out, but if i can help you guys i will. i just thought i'd post my good fortune. i called my buddy j bout the front clip, he said it was in good shape, but cracked under the marker light. he cracked it when he backed our race car (CRX) into it. ummmmmm. that's bout it i guess.
there are a few very small interior parts i need and dont know where to get them at. if the interior on the car your parting is that dark charcoal maybe youd be willing to help me out. on the passenger side above the air vent that can be adjusted, there is a little vent that can not be adjusted; this is the one that i need. mine cracked when i was trying to take the dash off. the other thing i need is that piece of plastic on the pasenger sid that is in the corner on the floor and the side(its the thing that sometimes people put speaker pods in its place). sorry i dont know what the part is called. anyways, if youd be willing to part with either of those things that would be cool for me.
ok check this out, the dash, stereo, and Climate controls are gone. adn i really didn't want to sell parts. I posted this cause i wanted to see if anyone knew anything aobut building the motor, and i just told the story behind it. i'm sorry guys, but i'd like to keep most of the stuff i've got. i'll post when i figure out what i want to sell, and what i wanna keep. but it won't be much. sorry guys, anyone know about the engine?
