BMW E36 Headlights(Need Help)
Yea im intrested i purchasing the 92-98 BMW E36 headlights for my 1992 Nissan Maxima gxe. I wanted to know everything you need to make the conversion. I know I need bulbs, but will it fit right into the slot where the stock headlight came from. It comes with a U.S. Spec wiring harness also, I just want to know what else I have to do before I really consider purchasing these headlights. Im up for all opinions, but mostly facts. Thank You

I am about to purchase a set of Euro-spec ZKW lights w/DDE conversion, and the person I'm going to purchase them from said they are slightly larger then the US-spec. Does anyone know if there would be a serious fitment issue, or would it just be a minor matter of more power tools?

all right dude your going to have to cut metal no matter what do it right and use a die ginder with a very good cutting bit. i got my bit at a high end power tool store it is daul action it cuts and smooths with the same bit. dont use a dremal they suck. and it takes for ever just cut and try o fit, cut and try to fit, till it looks like how u want it. thats the best advice i can give to people want e36s

Dude, there's absolutely NO reason for you to hire a mechanic to do this. Unless of course you WANT to waste money like that. I did it, and it only took half a day from my otherwise busy schedule. Heck, anyone that can cut paper with scissors, butt-connect a wire, or walk while chewing bubblegum can do this mod!

I suppose once you do this mod, there's no going back to stock without new headlight housings, right?
