Comfort/ Power Switch?????

I have a 94 SE and it has the power/comfort switch. I have an idea of its purpose in an automatic. My car is a stick shift so I don't see how it figures into the shifting. If anyone knows what purpose it serves I would love to know. Right now I just keep it in the middle.

It has been answered quite a few times on this board (even a couple of posts ago it was answered).

Basically the function of the Power/comfort switch is to change the shift points in which the car shifts at.

Ie)
Comfort: 2500 rpm - 3000 rpm
Power: 3500 rpm and up
A/T position: Depends on how much you 'floor the pedal' either comfort or power.

If the search was working I would have said search

who ever had your car last swaped dash panel with an auto car. hence you got the switch. its probably hooks up to nothing but you got it because it's better than a hole in the panel.

If its hooked upto nothing, you could probably hook up some neons and use that as a switch or something

Thanks Dan...I have one more question I just noticed last night when I looked more carefully. The A/T switch lights up. Just the switch part though not the P or the C though. I guess I just have to pull out the panel and see what I see. Just thought it was strange to see any of the panel light up.

hmmm strange...it shouldn't light up at all. pull the panel and take a look what's behind it.
