Long Drive...Tune Up Help Please

I recently bought my second Max 94 SE stick (bought for $2000)with 146000. So far so good no complaints the engine is strong and car works well. I had to change the window regulators in 2 windows but that cost me less than $200 installed. I also bought all new struts (KYB)and my Place Racing Intake is coming on Thursday.
Before I go any further I owe all these purchases to Maxima.org I am car iliterate but I read as many post as I can and see what my fellow owners consider good purchases and so forth. So I want to say thanks for all the help you guys have given over the years without even knowing it. Anyway with that said I need a little bit more help. I am moving from NYC (Brooklyn) to Cali (Bakersfield) don't ask its a long story...lets just say she the only thing I love almost as much as my cars.

I would like to tune the car up before I go and I just wanted to know the items I would need to check or purchase. If anyone has a How To link that would also be greatly appreciated. I have seen some links for things but alot are for 4th gen. and I don't alway know if all the parts are the same I was trying to find a link for 3 gen repairs/installs. I believe the previous owner put the Bosch spark plugs but I am going to change to the NGK platinums. Just wanted to know what else I need. Also if there is anything else I may need to have looked at before I make such a long trip.

Once again thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

well good start, by changing the plugs distributor car....also i'd check the fan belt perhaps throw a new one on, got alot of driving ahead and dont want the car to overheat. top off the radiator, i'd put as much actual coolant as possible, check transmission fluid, tire pressure, general stuff. perhaps and oil change too

Check resistance in plug wires, change tranny fluid, coolant flush, check hoses. throttle body cleaning might help slightly but isnt really necessary. all that and the usual. oh and if you havent, sign up with AAA JUST IN CASE. you cant be too careful.
