Moonroof not sliding back

My moonroof for some reason only pops up it wont slide back. I think I remember someone saying something about this that it was caused by some plastic clips or something that break on the moonroof track. Does anyone have any info on this?? It didn't really bother me that much till now because it's starting to get warmer out and I wanna open it. Any info will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in Advance!!

i'm pretty sure the clips on the sunroof cover thingy could do this ; almost the same problem happened to me just it'd wouldn't stay back inside the roof area. but what i did was just removed the whole thing all together

good luck let us know how it goes

Use a quarter

The same thing happened to me, your sunroof is broken. So you must break it again to fix it. The window slides back on a track, and gets caught in a little hole on that track. The part that drops into that hole can be pushed back in by useing the quarter. Sorry if this sounds vague. Hope it helps.

i did the same thing tafan321 did...i just removed the whole cover...i tried to bend the clips back into place...but it was like fighting for a lost cause...it would work for a minute...then it would come off the track again...you can probably buy new clips from nissan...or try and find a donor sunroof without the problem...but if you dont mind not having the cover then just take it off

MY sunroof had the same problem, only it was a connecting rod that fell off into the tracking. There's a little roller pin that connects the rod to the glass frame, and that is gone. With the sunroof flipped up look at each side of the sunroof from inside the car. If one has a rod connecting from the rear part to the middle, and the other doesn't then we have the same problem. Let me know if this is true.
