sounds really good
it has a really deep tone to it and guess what it only cost me $30 from Napa and already i noticed that i got like maybe around 5 mpg more and there is no noticeable drop or increase of power but sounds really good
the only time that it sounds stock is when you punch it you cant really hear the exhaust maybe because im going to fast and passed the sound barrier

thats funny u say that comment about the exhaust sounding stock when ur flooring it. i have a gutted cat no resonators and a aerospeed muffler and it does the same to me i get all my sound at low RPM's but once it climbs it kinda drowns out and all i really hear is filter

Mine does the same thing
Its real deep while accelerating then right before it shifts the it gets quiet (like stock) then when it bangs into the next gear its real deep again. My friend has a 5spd he has the same opac as me and when you control the shifting manually you dont lose the deepness of the sound. quess its just the way its thats one of the reasons i want a 5spd. But i know what your talking about. Mine also takes a few minutes to warm up too but not too much beacuse i keep it the garage.

extra millage???
$20 I doubt that you got better millage by putting on a napa muffler. (or any muffler for that matter)
With the drastic shifts in temperature the country has been having these past few days I'd say that it was temperature related more that muffler related.
A napa muffler sounding stock??

Re: It doesnt have much to do with temp
with the temperature ranges the muffler sees there will be no differences in resonnace of the muffler. you would have to go close to absolute zero and the liquidous of the metal before you see resonance changes
The change in teperature that i was refering to was the effect of ambient temperature on the thermostat of the car. when it is cold out the car has a different fuel map that when it is warm. when it is cold it adds extra fuel to compensate for the extra quantity of oxygen in the cold air. This also serves as a function to heat the motor up quickly to get things like the oil and transmission fluid up to opperating temperature ranges quickly.

I saw some cherry bombs at discount auto parts today. This may sound dumb but it's becuase I dont know that much about these. Are they actual mufflers or just things you put inside yours ? Did you put it on yourself, how does it look, and any sound files on it ? thanks

cherry bomb is a glasspack, i've got one now to hold me over till my duals can be done. i have 2 mufflers, but i'm not runnin duals till summer. i'm not real thrilled with how it looks, but it sounds good. it's a cherry bomb to a 4" tip, but the tip is about 4" under the bumper, so it's not ghetto looking. the cherry bomb originally cost 15 bucks at trader horn, the tip was laying around the shop.
