Hi...My Max has over 130k on the engine as of this month. It has a brand new factory installed tranni and just about everything else in the car has been replaced or upgraded. My question is where can i get a new engine at for a reasonable price. Also can i get it port and polished? I would like to get some serious hourse power this time around but not have to use NOS. I know my engine is good for at least another 10k or so. But i need some opinions on what i should do. I dont want to have to sell my baby...but i don't know what kinda engine swap/new engine to get. Any comment would be great. Thanks for your time. Also...what do you think of the car? any suggestions?
ahh man
that baby is just getting warmed up. You got a good 100+k left in it most likely unless it's been abused and is in bad shape. Your engine is still capable of alot of power and many miles left in it.
As for a new engine, look on the internet or look in the phone book. Nippon Motors has the engine for like 500 without a warranty or anything, and that's about as low as it gets.

ONLY 10k left...............
HAHAHAHAHA....
I'm pushing 130k myself just got an engine flush, mechanics say the engine looks, sound and feels GREAT, and I plan to push another 130K!!! don't count these Max's out early, besides the faulty tranny that VG should last you longer than 130 or 140k!!! but go for the engine mods anyways, port and polish intake and exhaust, cams all that good stuff!!!!!! or go for a z31 turbo swap, a couple guys have done it, but remember its all about the money and determination!! good luck!

130K is nothing for these cars...there are some with 200K plus and and 1 or 2 with 300K+
