fair price for conversion?

i found a local junkyard online with a 5 speed (99k on it) with lsd . he wants 1300 + tax for all the parts for a conversion... I was hoping to spend maybee 700 at most ... Isnt 1300 a bit high?

Just for the parts, it's a lot of money. Maximan190 just bought a 92 VE 5-speed parts car with a good tranny and everything needed for the conversion for $300.00 Maximan190 will be spending about $1300.00 at most with the swap installed.
