Switch question / AT

What is the A/T switch with power on top and comfort on bottom?

It adjusts the timing on shifting to either shift at higher or lower rpm's. I don't know the specifics though.

94 gxe what does this switch do?

Its located on the lower part of the dash it says A/T and you click it up for "Power" and down for "Comfort" what exactly doesit do?

Yes that would be the one. "Power" makes the car shift at a slightly higher Rpm's and "Comfort" shifts at a slightly lower rpm's than usual.

Thanks i just took it out and definantly could tell there was more power.
will there be any negative effects at running it like all the time?

I'm not sure to be honest, but if it works anything like the Vb mod (which gives you quicker shifts) it would prolong the life of your tranny. But now that I think about it, it probably won't, because if it did everyone would drive around with the switch on power, trying to get 200,000 + miles our of their tranny.

If you just leave it in the middle, you will get better gas mileage. The car has a brain that tells it when to shift secondary to throttle control. If the vehicle accelerator is pushed to the floor, the car knows to use the Power mode and will turn off your A/C if using. If you want comlete power all the time, then switch it. On trips, use the comfort, you will notice a diffence...
