Problem: Adcco RSB install

I'm a newbie that installed an adcco RSB to my '89 max yesterday with this links help. http://www.dreamwater.org/auto/lordrandall/Maxima01.htm after the install I took the car out for a spin, all seemed Ok. The next day when I used the car the RSB began squeaking like cra-Z. My ques: Is this normal? Will the squeaking go away? Is there adjustment needed? Thanx in advance!

Did you use lithium grease on the new bushings, if you didn't they will make noise.

Should I take everything apart to grease it or will it stop in time?

No if anything I think it will get worse. All you have to do is unbolt the bushings put grease inside of them, make sure you put a lot and just bolt the bushings back. Actually you have an ADDCO so I just noticed you have little bushings on the side, you will have to remove those and put lithium grease on those also. So any bushing apply grease to them. So I guess you have to remove the bar and do it all over again.

I greased mine and it never went away. I tried to do it just as described in the writeups and that didnt work for me, I tried tightening things or loosening things and that didnt work either. I would take it apart and lube the bushings that go around the bar and it would quit for about a week and then come back. So .... I got my dremel tool out and put the sanding wheel on and made the inner part of the bushing bigger. It was loose so you could almost wiggle it if you know what I mean. I also actuall removed more of the bushing in the center so that the grease would have a place to stay. Two weeks later and no squeeking. I wouldnt open it up too much or it might start clunking instead of squeeking. This is what worked for me. Good luck!

i had the same problem... i'd have to take everything apart and regrease every 2 weeks. got a little annoying so i went to my local auto shop and bought energy sway bar bushings with the grease nipples. regreasing is a 2 minute job now. highly recommended.
