Making MAX fast!

Hey everybody, I was just wondering what mods I can do to make my 1994 Maxima GXE faster. I am kinda on a budget. I put in a K&N panel filter so far. Please tell me some cheaper things to make my car faster.0-60 in 9.8 secs feels really slow!

well, is yours a VG or VE? If it's a VG, there's not a whole lot you can do...but a VE, hehehehehe -

Throw it off a cliff... seriously, the gxe is slow you should just sell it and get a faster car.

i like my gxe thank you

it's comfy, dependable, and drives great. perhaps it is kinda slow, but who races 24/7 anyways?

anyways, you have to give us your definition of "cheap". that K&N panal gives you minimum gain at most. For about 20-30 bucks, you can get a cone filter and adapter from ebay. you'll see more gains there.

then there's always advancing the timing. that's practically a free mod. you can go here to learn more about advancing timings. http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html

while you're there, browse around that site. Craig has LOTS of useful info on his page.

hey jaykid806 dont let anyone tell you that you have a slow car. But dont expect large gains without spending some money. boost the hell out of that thing. you dont want a VE, stick with a real motor and that is what you have.

No kidding. If you want to make your car fast, just think that it is fast. If you believe it in your mind, then you have the fastest car on this board........

5 speed swap? Who's doing that?
