Oil change

Oil change

Lets say , most of you highly recommend to change oil n pour in mobil 1 SY ? and a TOYOTA filter ? Cause My engine is startin to make little noise tickin man.

lol...can't remember seeing the thread where most people recommended using mobil synthetic and a toyota filter. considering you have a 3rd (else why are you posting here?), and you most likely have an aged engine that has been WELL broken into, why would you "now" start using synthetic oil?? In any case, I have heard some things being said about lifters...mine makes the ticking sound only when it's about due for an oil change or is a little low on oil. it is usually during first startup and lasts for about 3seconds after which is goes away. Get to know your car better and what she likes to run on best and what she doesnt like. I have quit experimenting as sometimes a better thing might spoil a good thing and what's good for the goose isnt always good for the gander...

I agree with lophix on this. Don't change the way things are. If oil types mix it can cause trouble and I don't see how an off brand filter would help.

What you can do is change the oil and filter, then run the engine for about an hour at idle. Then change the oil and filter again.

This helps clean out the engine in all the areas that don't drain to the plug. Odds are however that you probably don't even need that.
