exhaust system for turbo

after driving my car with an open downpipe for a few months I have decided that the extra atten. from the local law, and rice racers isnt worth keeping the monster noises my car makes. Im building my own exhaust and Im having trouble finding a quiet muffler with a 3" inlet. anyone have any suggestion, I would like to go sleeper.

look into an Edlebrock, Flowmaster or Dynomax muffler for most doesmtics. most of them go up to 3" in/out applications and still maintain the stock OEM oval look. plus majority of them are chambered so that cust down on the noise as well.

I was going to suggest those also. Which ever the case, if the domestic mufflers don't work out a silencer probably be your last hope. That 3" inlet and quiet is a tall order. Now when you say you've been rolling with a "open down pipe" are you refering to not having anymore piping after the down pipe or you've been rolling around around with straight pipes, no cat, muffler, etc.

That's the way I'm running mine and it smells like ***!! Also, it's just way too loud for me! I mean, the plastic and everything else in the cabin rattles!!

Still working on it...I only have a couple hundred saved up for it... They still have it there for $600, so I hope I can get the loot soon enough. My suspension and my tires went on me, so it is setting me back a little bit.
