<sniff> I miss my baby already...

It was a quiet, lonely drive to the bus stop today... When I leave work my baby is being traded in for a 2k2 z24 (Not quite by choice...) My tranny is going and I don't have the money for a rebuild, so it's back to stock...
Fortunately, I still have my '94 to work with, but it needs a bit of work before I put it on the road.
I have a set of Eibach/Tokicos' that I bought and may consider selling since I'll prolly need the money for my upcoming move. They're still in the box, so if anyone wants them e-mail me!

*raises an eyebrow*

You're getting a Z34 and you're complaining? Granted I would miss my Max in the same position too... but... it's a 350Z.

Err, no, z24, Chevy Cavalier... Basically a deathtrap... I consider it to be a poor mans' rice rocket
Actually, after some of the research I did on it yesterday, I realized that the domestic "compact sports cars" are WORSE then rice rockets... They're made in America with Japanese parts!!!

Ahh... thought you had a typo in that case... yeah... I feel sorry for you. My dad drives a Cav around. I absolutely hate it. There's no acceleration, it handles like a a car twice its size, plus it looks butt. Oh, and the Cavalier is a Toyota in Japan. Go fig...

<chuckle> The z24 has a tranny from an Isuzu... It's actually not too bad, it has 10 less hp and is 700 pounds lighter then my Max, so it's a bit quicker... The average 1/4 mile times I saw for it stock was 15.2s, but I'll see at the track on Friday
I'm still going to miss my VG tho... At least I have my other one for my project car

Credit company and lack of cash... I wanted a 5-speed, and the only one they had that I could afford was the z24...
And after checking out some of the message forums on the Cavaliers, I'm convinced that I was correct in calling them and Neons "Poor Mans' Rice Rocket" because almost none of the parts are American
I think removing the governer is going to be one of the first mods I do to that car... Well, if I actually decide to, I only plan on keeping it long enough to save cash for a new Max

I don't plan to anytime soon Actually, as it looks, I may be keeping my Max... <evil grin>
It'll be a perfect opportunity to stuff it in the garage and keep it for a project

*EDIT* : I made a FS post for the suspension: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=221756
